Soma Cruz Soma is attacked in Hakuba city by Celia Fortner, the priestess of a cult dedicated to the revival of Dracula. Celia disappears saying that Soma will be eliminated by any means necessary, so she can fill the role of reviving Count Dracula. Arikado insists that Soma remain in the city, and let him handle Celia. Soma is unwilling to allow his friends to fight while he sits by. He tracks Celia to her headquarters, and once more envokes his power of dominance to battle the enemies within. |

Yoko Belnades Yoko once again has returned to Dawn of Sorrow. She has gained the magical ability to fuse souls with weapons to make much stronger ones. Also Yoko can release souls Soma has obtained in his travels. Though Yoko is well versed in magic, she is left behind, when Julius enters the castle. Upset that she cannot aid him, she returns with Soma to the Lost Village. She noticed that Hammer has been watching her, and asks Soma about it occasionally. She also seems to get information from Julius from time to time. |
Hammer Hammer has now left the military, and has set up shop in random locations. He learns of the location of Celia's fortress and is somewhat forced to tell Soma of its location. He follows and sets up shop opposite of Yoko's in the Lost Village. He has a very not so subtle crush on Yoko, and constantly questions Soma for information. was it too difficult to just walk over and talk to her? |
Mina Hakuba Mina has chosen to remain at her home throughout the story of Dawn of Sorrow. Her involvment, though a major impact is a small letter and a talisman. At the end of the game, she is reunited with Soma, and their affectionate relationship is joked upon by the others around. It should be noted the importance of Mina to Soma, VS what Lisa and Elizabetha was to Dracula. It is theorized that Arikadio (Alucard) saw this, and this is why he was protective of Mina in Aria, and she has been made to remain away now. It should also be noted that Mina's name bears a striking reselmblence to Mina Harker of Bram Stoker's Dracula®. |
Julius Belmont Julius has once again returned to assist in the defeat of Celia and her henchmen. He urges Soma to stay away, so as not to succumb to his dark powers. When Soma refuses to do so, Julius goes off alone. He is seen throughout Soma's travels, and provides information on occasion to Yko for him. Though it would seem that Julius is harsh to Soma, it is sensed that there is a genuine concern for his well being. More like he hopes against all hope that Soma does not ahve to take up the position of Dark Lord. |
Genya Arikado Arikado appears again in Dawn of Sorrow, much as he did before. A man of mystery, with a wealth of knowledge some are wondering how he got a hold of. It is revealed at some point in the game that this is in fact Alucard, son of the Dark Lord. It appears he is still trying to prevent his father from bringing ruin to the world of men. In the end of the game Arikado says: "If the world needs a Dark Lord, one will emerge, even if it's not Soma." Could this be a hint of Alucard maybe taking the role of his father? Or could it have simply meant that there will always be a canidate, even if it is not Soma? |
Celia Fortner Celia is the head of a cult that thinks if there is to be good in the world, there must be evil. Simply because one cannot exist without the other. She has found two other canidates to be the Dark Lord, and lures Soma to their fortress, in an attempt to kill him. Celia's not one to fight hand to hand, and thus allows her own canidates to face Soma. |
Dario Bossi Dario one of two potential canidates to take the role of Dracula gathered by Celia Fortner. Born at the moment of Dracula’s death in 1999, he is infused with supernatural power of pyrokinetic. Dario has a rough, combative personality which sets him apart from the other two Candidates. Prior to his encounter with Celia, Dario garnered infamy around the globe as a dangerous criminal and serial arsonist. |
Dmitrii Blinov Dmitrii Blinov is the other Dark Lord canidate. He possesses the ability to launch a magical attack that was used on him. Dmitrii has an arrogant, high-and-mighty personality that shows more-so when he is around Dario Bossi. He will stop at nothing to assume the role of Dracula’s successor, though his true motive revolves around discovering the nature and origins of his unique power. |
