Final Fantasy II Concentration Mini-Game

final fantasy ii gba mini gameIn the Advance version of Final Fantasy II, the Concentration mini-game gets even better. Once you obtain the Snowcraft, hold the and press the 22 times. This will open up the Concentration Mini-Game. This is the same type of game that is found in Super Mario 3. Simply Match up the characters on the cards and earn prizes for winning. The fewer times you 'miss a match, the better your prizes will be. The cards will begin face down, and you have to match the 8 pairs together. Your prizes are based on your number of mistakes, and the time taken to win. If you can beat the clock for a set number of misses, then you get the full prize If you do not get the best time, you only get a portion of the prize. Below is the prize listing for the game.

final fantasy ii gba mini gameIf you build the Toad spell up to level 16, the game will be changed. All the character images will be replaced with their toad status images. Now before you go on saying how pointless that is, just wait a minute. It gets better. When this happens, the prizes will change as well. I'm talking Masamune, Aegis Shield, along with some Genji gear. This makes it so worth the effort, just to get these excellent pieces of armor! And there is even more awesomeness...there is no limit to how many of any kind of prize you get! If you want an entire crew with Genji Gear or Aegis Shields, No one is going to stop you! Masamunes for everyone??? Go for it! You can get as many as you are allowed to carry. Not only can you suit up your group fantastically, this equipment sells for some massive Gil. It is now definitely worth getting that spell leveled up to max, and getting back on the Snowcraft.
Below is the new prizes for this version of the game. And just so you know who is who in Toad form, I have added their images with the corresponding status image.

Cheating the game to suit you

There is a way to rig the game in your favor. The game runs on a 32 game rotation. Grab yourself a pen and paper, and make note where everyone is located on the first game. After winning, start again, but instead cancel the game. When it asks if you want to quit, hit NO, and repeat the cancel/No Quit 31 times. This will set the game to the board you just got done playing, and with your notes...there is no way to lose! (Too bad we cannot rig casinos to do the same thing huh?
